Abstract
This research is a term paper of a course. the objective of this research is to examine whether or not the group discussion method can improve senior high school students' reading comprehension in Indonesia. Besides, the researcher also triangulated the experimental method with an interview to find out whether the group discussion method can increase students' motivation in the learning process.

Research Project 3: "Gender and Politeness Strategies: An Analysis of Indonesia Facebook News Comments"

Abstract
Politeness is important to know by all people when communicating through CMC. There are four of politeness strategies proposed by Brown and Levinson (1987); bold on record, positive politeness, negative politeness, and off-record (indirect). This study aims to explore how people will use politeness strategy when creating comments in online news in social media Facebook. 500 comments consist of 250 male and female were analyzed. The findings show that Negative politeness strategy is mostly used in the all comments sample. In the case of different gender, negative politeness is mostly used by male and positive politeness most used by female. De difference strategies used by male and female are also discussed in this study.

Research Project 2: "Using Teacher Questioning as Scaffolding to Improve ESL Students' Interaction and Participation in Speaking Class"
Abstract
Teacher questioning is a strategy that ESL teacher can use to scaffold students’ interaction and participation in ESL learning. It is defined as a type of sentence expressed or asked by the teacher in a form that requires or appears to require an answer from students in the classroom. However, using questioning as scaffolding is most frequently used by the teacher in all teaching-learning process. Some preview studies showed that in the process of teaching-learning, teachers’ questioning behavior takes 20% to 40% of all classroom talks. Therefore, this paper aims to explore the types of teacher questioning that usually ESL teachers employ to scaffold students interaction and to what extent the teacher questioning can promote ESL students, interaction and participation in speaking class.

Research Project 1: "An Analysis of Students' Ability in Identifying Generic Structure and Lexicogrammatical Features of Procedural Text at Eleventh Grade Students of Senior High School Karya Pembangunan Delitua, Indonesia"

Abstract
This qualitative study was conducted in order to find out students' ability in identifying the generic structure and lexicogrammatical features of procedural texts. three classes consist of 100 students were analyzed by using criteria of ability. the finding 87% of whole participants are categorized able and 13% are categorized unable. Based on the finding, the researcher concluded that students in senior high school Karya Pembangunan are were categorized able to identify the generic structure and lexicogrammatical features of procedural texts.
